ADDITIONAL SERVICES GUIDE

In addition to our Basic Services, Eagle Eye Timing offers a wide range of additional services that are intended to improve the quality and ease of managing your event.

Combined Race Labels
Combined race labels are provided during track events which include the combination of different genders and/or age groups typically during distance races. In this case, hip numbers, with a set value (eg., #4), are placed on the back of each added division. Thus, if boys are combined in the 3,000 Meter Run with the girls division, then all of the girls would wear #4 on their back for instance. This has proven to be affective in that runners are able to gauge how they are at any given moment throughout the race. This benefit is offered at no extra charge, however, selecting this option on your service request indicates to us that there will be combined races at your meet.
Competitor (Bib) Numbers & Safety Pins
Competitor numbers, otherwise known as bib number, must be utilized in every race for each meet in which barcode labels, and/or competitor number labels are requested. We may provide you with the competitor numbers and pins if you choose, but you also retain the option to purchase them separately. Be sure to highlight or circle this option on the service request if you wish for us to provide these for you.
Competitor (Bib) Number Labels
Competitor/Bib number labels are stickers that contain meet information about each athlete. Competitor number labels can list an athlete's full name, their team name, their bib number, their events along with their entry time, their heat and lane assignments, and either their class year/grade or their year of birth. These labels are printed out and attached to the posterior side of each athlete's bib number before they are given away. That way, the athlete always has access to important personal information. Coaches and meet officials would also have easy access to the athlete's information in case a need arises for any verification.
Hip Numbers
Hip numbers must be utilized in every race for each meet in which we provide Finish Lynx FAT Timing. We may provide you with hip numbers if you choose, but you also retain the option to purchase the hip numbers separately. Be sure to highlight or circle this option on the service request if you wish for us to provide these for you.
Personnel Training
Personnel Training may be offered to help educate someone you know who may be interested in the technology we utilize. Even though we wish to offer as much help as possible, this can only be done under appropriate circumstances. Training would start out by lessons in the avenues of meet awareness, database operation, and photo finish operating.
Relay Labels
Relay labels are a brilliant advance in the conduct of track & field meets. With this benefit, a small sticker (similar to a hip number) is placed on each relay member's singlet/jersey at the torso area. Each sticker contains a number that corresponds to the lane number that the relay team is assigned to. This allows for the exchange zone judges to correct and prevent any misplacement mistakes before they are unable to be prevented.
This advantage has minimized on frequent disqualifications and on frequent confusion among competitors. As a matter of fact, lane assignment disarrangements were able to be corrected before the start of races in each meet that the benefit was utilized. The appalling response, on the part of everyone, has frequently been, "Thank God!" especially when working with youth relays. We have realized that since a number of younger kids are still learning the sport, they have not yet learned how to draw the distinction of certain guidelines at their young age. Therefore, this benefit is strongly recommended for meets with youth athletes and is also recommended for all qualifying meets. Due to appalling misfortunes with older athletes, we do not limit our recommendation to meets with younger athletes.
Also, in conjunction with the often fact that only the anchor leg of the relay gets a hip number, the remaining three legs are subject to lane misplacement as mistakes have often displayed. In the case that all four legs receive a hip number, the use of relay labels would eliminate the need for the hip numbers given to the first three legs. That way, the hip numbers that would have been assigned to the first three legs of each participating relay could be saved and utilized for individually competitive races (eg., preliminary heats of the 100 Meter Dash).
